Earn Your Nursing Degree

Taking care of others begins with taking care of yourself.

If you’ve ever been interested in a career in the nursing field, the first step is finding an education that fits around your lifestyle instead of the other way around. At Northwestern College, our two year Nursing degree program is designed around busy schedules and the modern-day worker.

That’s because we know how difficult it can be to take those first steps in changing your future for the better. It has been our goal since the start to assist and support students through all of those important life transitions. Whether you want to pursue nursing as a new career, a first career, or simply as a way to expand your current horizons, our highly trained staff and faculty members are here to help.

Why Choose Nursing?

When it comes to making smart decisions for the future, nursing is a great choice. Not only do nurses find a high level of job satisfaction doing what they love, but this is a field that is poised for explosive growth in the years to come.

According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (2012), it has been determined that 30,000 additional nurses should be graduated annually to meet the nation’s health care needs. We’re thrilled to be doing our part to meet this demand with well-trained, confident medical professionals just like you.

Nursing Technology and Training at Northwestern College

The School of Nursing at Northwestern College is one of our flagship educational programs. Building on the traditional coursework required for any biology-based associate degree, we cover all of the requirements of the Illinois Board of Nursing.

One look at our facilities and it’s easy to see why. We were one of the first schools to adopt a simulation lab, and we include leadership and professional development in all facets of your education.

In short, we leave no stone unturned. The most successful nurses are the ones who have the right combination of education, motivation, and opportunity. If you’re willing to bring the motivation, we’re prepared to handle the rest.

187% of the 2012 NC nursing program graduates who took the NCLEX received a passing score.
