Diane Marek began her career at Northwestern College of almost 30 years when she was hired as an adjunct instructor to teach evening classes in accounting and business. Since then she has held positions as a full-time instructor, associate dean of curriculum, assistant dean of curriculum, chief academic officer, and vice president of academic affairs.
Diane is passionate about ensuring there are optimal opportunities for NC students to achieve educational success and has played a major role in applying for and maintaining regional accreditation for the institution and specialized accreditations for several programs including medical assisting, health information technology, radiologic technology, business administration, executive accounting and ABA approval for the paralegal program. “It is my experience that the evaluation processes and goals of programmatic and institutional accreditation are mutually supportive of one another and results in rigorous standards of assessment and a higher benchmark of educational excellence to strive for and maintain.”
