Meagan Lanigan graduated in 2006 with her certificate in clinical massage therapy and became nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. She went back to school in 2009 and received her master’s certificate in clinical massage, which allowed her to learn and practice over a dozen massage modalities and become well-rounded in the field. She went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from UIC and is currently working on a master’s degree in public health from Benedictine University. Lanigan has worked in a variety of settings including chiropractic offices, sporting events, gyms, and spas. She started teaching massage courses at Northwestern College in 2008 and was recently promoted to program coordinator of the massage therapy program.
