Dan Miller has been serving students at Northwestern College for over 25 years. He began his tenure with the college as an adjunct instructor, moving up the ranks to associate professor, education coordinator, dean of faculty, and to his current position of academic dean. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in communication.
He has represented the college in the community serving two terms as the president of the Hickory Hills Chamber of Commerce as well as being elected to a third term as the group’s treasurer of the Chicago Area Faculty Development Network.
Dan’s greatest pleasure is working directly with students to help them succeed. In addition to performing his management responsibilities, you will find him substituting in classes for absent instructors, counseling students in their academic and career choices, and working hard as the chairperson of the Honors Committee.
